18-year-old girl raped in Tarkathi Karmang in Baltistan, 19 years old Adnan has been arrested

An 18-year-old girl is reportedly raped in Tarkathi Karmang in Baltistan. In a statement to the local police, the victim stated that Mr. Adnan (19 years old) was continuously blackmailing her and had promised to marry her but never fulfilled his promise and raped her on every meeting.

According to local police, the girl is pregnant (7 months). The accused has been arrested and is on 7 days of physical remand. The village elders tried for reconciliation between both parties but the allegedly accused person did not accept marriage condition from the village elders. Upon failure of an agreement, father of the victim lodged FIR against the accused person. A local senior police officer confirmed arrest of a 19 years old young man from village Tarkathi. He was first taken to Olding police station and then shifted to Tholti police station.

According to the police, the accused has confessed his crime by stating that he blackmailed her through fake promise to marry her. So this way, he sexual assaulted and raped her on every meeting. The victim girl has been take to Tholti, then Mehdi Abad and finally shifted to Skardu. According to police, the accused person stated that some other people are also involved in this incident. But the local sources are denying this statement.
