Office bearers of the Business Association Hunza got arrested

Gilgit-Baltistan Police arrested office bearers of Business Association Hunza today.

According to local sources, on call of the Business Association, shopkeepers opened their businesses on Friday after almost two months of complete lockdown. They had announced to open their business on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with complete observance of COVID-19 precautionary measures. The district administration issued strict advisory to follow the lockdown SOPs. The arrested office bearers of Business Association Hunza are shifted to Aliabad police station.

Traders and shopkeepers have staged sit in on KKH in front of the police station in Aliabad. Hunza Transportation Association announced their support to the Business Association. Politicians, civil society activist and elders are negotiating with Deputy Commissioner Hunza on relaxation in lockdown, opening of businesses and to release the BAH office bearers.
